Stop on out and grab one of our baking mixes for an easy dessert to serve and WOW your family or guests! Last week we made Peach Shortcakes with our Peaches & Cream Scones ~ it is AMAZING!
Take one of our Peaches & Cream Scone mixes home with you next time you come. You'll just need 1 cup of whipping cream to mix into the scone mix. We then just take a large scoop and make the scones as biscuits, putting them on to a baking sheet with a piece of parchment paper on it for easy clean up! (Before putting them into the oven we like to sprinkle a little sugar over top of them, so feel free to do that if you'd like!)
The Package says to bake at 400 degrees, but I know that I have to bake them at 375 degrees in my oven to prevent it from burning the bottoms.
While the scones are baking slice you peaches and put some sugar over top of them and stick it in the fridge.
Take the scones out when they are golden on top (13-16 minutes depending on your oven). Let cool.
While you are waiting for your scones to cool make some of our
Mock Devonshire Cream:
3 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
3 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
1 cup heavy whipping cream
In a small bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy. Beat in sour cream and confectioners' sugar until smooth. Add whipping cream. Beat on medium speed until combined; beat on high speed until stiff peaks form. Refrigerate until serving.
When you are ready to serve, slice your scone in half and top bottom half with your peach and sugar mixture, add a dollop or two of Mock Devonshire Cream on top (sometimes we will add a little nutmeg on top of that) and put the top of the scone over top of that, you'll thank us later!
